Officials of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (CCCI) undertook a four-day roadshow in Manila in a bid to generate interest and support for the Cebu Business Month 2020 activities.

They met separately with representatives from Microsoft Philippines, PLDT Enterprise, Unionbank, Amazon Web Services and Grab Philippines, among others, to discuss possible collaborations and partnerships for the annual event in June.

Separate meetings were also held with representatives of BPI, Eastern Communications, Animation Council of the Philippines, Manila Bulletin, The ABS-CBN News Channel, Prime Philippines, Philippines AirAsia, and Cebu Pacific Air.

The group also made a presentation of CBM 2020 before Tourism Undersecretary for tourism development planning Benito Bengzon, Jr.

“The Manila Roadshow was initiated for the purpose of maximizing our campaign of this year’s CBM and its lined up programs to its valued and prospective sponsors,” said CBM 2020 overall chairman Michael Cubos.

Cubos, along with CCCI president Virgilio Espeleta, led the team that conducted the roadshow on February 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Members of the team are CBM 2020 vice chairman Gerald Yuvallos, CBM 2020 lead advisor Lilu Aliño, CBM division head Maribel Melgar, and CBM division officer Jovito Bocado.

Now on its 24th year, CBM 2020 carries the theme “Bring IT On.”

It is the flagship project of the CCCI and is held every June. Activities include conferences, seminars, workshops, mentoring sessions and similar activities that aim to inspire promote and help Cebu businesses grow.

The theme “Bring IT On” also serves as a battlecry to encourage, invite, and at the same time challenge everyone within the ecosystem to help address the needs of Cebu businesses and become part of the solution. (From PR)
