Cebu Ocean Park, touted as the largest oceanarium in the Philippines, finally soft opened on August 24, 2019

The theme park, located next to SM Seaside City Cebu, features a 72-meter deep tank with about 3,500 cubic meters of seawater.

It also features a jungle trek and a creepy critters exhibit aside from the oceanarium as well as encounters like sea trek, stingray interaction, bird feeding, fish spa and crocodile cage.

An animal show has also been lined up but is not ready yet. Some educational activities are also not ready.

The park can accommodate up to 8,000 visitors a day, according to its public relations team.

It also offers event spaces and a food hall.

“We will be slowly introducing them as time goes by. Due to overwhelming requests, we will indulge you in a sneak preview but really, the best is yet to come,” the park management said in a social media post.

Cebu Ocean Park is run by Cebu Sealife Park, Inc. and is an affiliate of Manila Ocean Park, which was developed by China Oceanis Philippines, Inc., the local unit of Singapore-based China Oceanis.

A walk through the park, without the different encounters yet, costs P600 per person on weekdays and P800 on weekends and holidays. (Ventures Cebu)
