Taiwan’s flag carrier, China Airlines, is set to expand operations in the Philippines to Cebu.
The airline announced that it will introduce a direct link between Cebu and Taipei, capital of Taiwan, starting March 29, 2020.
Cebu will be the second destination in the Philippines after Manila to receive regular scheduled services as part of China Airlines' long-term push to expand its network in Southeast Asia, the airline said in a statement.
The Taipei (Taoyuan) - Cebu service will offer six flights each week using a B737-800 aircraft.
Flight CI705, Taipei-Cebu, will depart at 7:40 in the morning and arrive at 10:35 local time. Flight CI706, the return service, will take off at 11:35 and arrive back in Taipei (Taoyuan) at 14:30.
Flights are offered every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
