The real estate unit of the Lim-owned Lite Holdings, Inc. recently held groundbreaking ceremonies for what is going to be its biggest housing project to date.
Corella Homes, a mid-range and economic housing development by Lite Properties Corporation, will offer a total of 209 housing units within a 2.5-hectare property located about 7.0 kilometers northeast of Tagbilaran City in Bohol.
“This is going to be our biggest project. This is a landmark project for us,” Lite Properties president and CEO Lucio E. Lim, Jr. said in a speech during the groundbreaking ceremony on March 8, 2019.
He said it is their company’s contribution to the economic development of Corella town, home of the Tarsier Reserve.
Although the project site is along the highway and very near the bustling city of Tagbilaran, it boasts of a serene environment and lush greenery that provide a welcome respite from the worsening traffic and other emerging urban development problems in the provincial capital.
“Corella has a nice environment. Corella is a nice name. That is why we did not call the project with another name. We called it Corella Homes because we are proud of your name,” Lim told municipal officials and barangay officials who attended the groundbreaking rites.
Corella Homes will offer five housing models: Sanya townhouses, 100 units; Kamina duplex units, 24; Arica two-story single detached units, 10; Adina two-story single attached units, 8; and 62 economic type bungalows. It will also feature five units of commercial spaces.
Construction of the perimeter fence is ongoing. Lite Properties will soon start accepting reservations at its Sales and Marketing Office located at the Lite Port Center.
Corella Homes is the second housing project of Lite Properties in Bohol. The first is Lirio Residences, a gated mid-market community with 31 housing units in Barangay Booy, beside the old airport in Tagbilaran City.
Lite Properties also developed the Lucena Homes in Minglanilla town and Luciana Residences in Cordova town on Mactan Island in Cebu.
Aside from its housing projects, Lite Properties also developed the first strip mall in Bohol called Lite Port Center Mall along Gallares St., Tagbilaran City. Its main office is located at Lite Ferries Corporate Building, Lite Port Center, M.J. Cuenco Avenue in Cebu City while its Tagbilaran Office is at the 3rd floor of Lite Port Center Mall.
