MacroAsia plans food commissary with Princess Jolliant in Cordova

Aviation support services provider MacroAsia Corp. said Wednesday, Sept. 24, its subsidiary MacroAsia New Ventures, Inc. will develop and operate a food commissary in Cordova town on Mactan Island, Cebu, under a joint venture with Princess Jolliant Corp.

MacroAsia New Ventures will invest about ₱64.47 million for a 49% equity in the joint venture, which is expected to be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the next quarter, according to a statement.

MacroAsia New Ventures and Princess Jolliant will jointly manage the commissary, MacroAsia said.

Additionally, MacroAsia said Cebu Pacific Catering Services, Inc., its in-flight catering joint venture with Cathay Pacific Catering Services of Hong Kong and MGO Pacific Resources Corp., has declared cash dividends amounting to ₱70 million, payable around Oct. 31.

MacroAsia said it will get 40%, or ₱28 million, while Cathay Pacific Catering will get another 40% and MGO will get 20%. Cebu Pacific Catering is the only full-service airline catering company operating at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, MacroAsia said. (Marites Villamor-Ilano)
